High speed flat wheel detection with fiber optic rail pad sensors
Sensor Line launches rail traffic management system

At InnoTrans 2018, the rail industry’s leading international trade fair, Sensor Line launches with SL Rail system a rail traffic management system for flat wheel detection. It is based on Sensor Line’s Fiber Optic Rail Pad Sensor (FORPS) and four high speed signal processing systems.
The pad sensors are easy to install, immune against EMP and deliver a highly accurate signal. The four signal processing systems acquire synchronized data with 10 kHz each. Preprocessing is done on a Raspberry Pi system on site. Results are send by wireless/wired network to SL Rail Manager and stored in a central database.
SL Rail Cockpit Monitor shows actual data and gives access to all stored data for comparison and reports. Furthermore, an interface to other customer systems is provided.
